The MOLOS SYSTEMS Family
ENERGY GRID MANAGEMENT
MOLOS.ENERGY
How does it work?
What is molos.energy
MOLOS.ENERGY is a suite of solutions enabling remote control and monitoring of energy infrastructure, particularly medium-voltage switchgear and medium- and high-voltage transformers. The suite includes the professional energy SCADA system MOLOS.ENERGY/SCADA and telemechanics concentrators MOLOS.ENERGY/GW, which support most digital protection devices available on the market. An extension of the system is MOLOS.ENERGY/CUK, designed for central and dynamic reactive power management.
How MOLOS.ENERGY works
Basic functionality of MOLOS.ENERGY/SCADA
- Complete supervision of medium-voltage switchgear operations, including:
- acquisition of analog measurements and I/O data, along with real-time monitoring of device status,
- remote control of switching equipment,
- acquisition and presentation of event logs from field protection devices,
- collection and presentation of disturbance records embedded in field protection systems,
- retrieval and recording of protection settings,
- configuration of protection settings and logic via direct integration with configuration tools provided by protection device manufacturers,
- graphical representation of the operational status of individual switchgear fields and the entire substation, with built-in busbar coloring functionality,
- presentation of graphs and analytical tools for both digital and analog measurements recorded in the system,
- reporting system and event log viewer with filtering and search capabilities,
- full scalability of visualization screens,
- support for protocols: OPC, IEC 61850, DNP 3.0, Modbus/TCP, IEC 62056-21,
- management of an electronic switching logbook (including switching reasons, operators, and authorizing personnel),
- graphical marking of field works with blocking of remote control capabilities,
- archiving of all measurement data for a specified period,
- archiving of disturbance recorder data (triggered events) for a specified period,
- generation of energy profiles to detect abnormal changes in energy consumption across monitored circuits,
- event alert system, particularly for protection activations or disturbances in MV/LV switchgear, with alarm and warning event handling, and customizable priority settings,
- user management system with role-based permissions for data access and execution of switching operations,
- built-in CMMS module for managing infrastructure maintenance and inspections.
Core Functionality of MOLOS.ENERGY/GW Concentrators
- support for full communication (including measurements, control functions, event logs, and disturbance recorders) with most popular digital protection devices, such as e2TANGO, Multi/MegaMUZ, MiCOM, REF, MUPASZ,
- provision of aggregated measurements and control functions to the visualization system using the TCP/IP protocol,
- synchronization of internal clocks in field protection devices with a time server via the NTP protocol,
- support for two independent SQL databases for event log archiving,
- configuration changes of the telemechanics concentrator without the need to restart the visualization and supervision system,
- dedicated application for browsing event logs,
- web-based interface for configuration and diagnostics of the telemechanics concentrator.
- support for an engineering channel on the active connection between the supervision system and power protection devices.
Optional possibility of secure system integration with a cloud platform
1. Communication from MV switchboards and HV/MV transformers
